Check Out Artifact Kits

Packed with artifacts and activities, our history kits bring part of the museum to your school. Reserve one or all of the kits and watch the excitement of discovery on your students' faces.

Cliff Dwellers Kit

Playing the role of archeologists, students "excavate" prehistoric artifacts buried in sand. Materials include excavating tools and a teacher's guide with background information, detailed instructions, and activities.

*Please note that the "Prehistoric Man" video is no longer included in this kit.*

Mountain Man Kit

Colorado's fur trade comes to life as students explore this exceptionally colorful era. This kit includes artifacts, photos, 30 information cards, 30 activities, and much more.

Click on the picture to access the Teacher's Manual that comes with the kit.

*Please note that the "Trappers & Traders" video is no longer included in this kit.*

Colorado Miners Kit

Experience the booms and busts of mining in Colorado, from the Spanish explorers to the present. Like the Mountain Man Kit, the Colorado Miners Kit contains artifacts, photos, a board game, a cassette tape of stories and music, 30 information cards, and 30 activities to captivate your students.

Grandmother Trunks

The objects in these four different trunks bring a touch of everyday life at the turn of the twentieth century to your students. Teacher's guides and suggested activities are included. Choose one or all of these trunks: Indian Trunk ~ Hispanic Trunk ~ African-American Trunk ~ Japanese Trunk

Boom or Bust: A Denver Artifact Kit

Experience the Gold Rush, Woman's Suffrage, WWII, and other exciting times in Denver's colorful history. This kit includes artifacts, photos, biographies, a teacher’s manual with lesson plans, and much more! This artifact kit was made possible through a generous grant from the Boeing-Jeppesen Corporation. Explore our Denver Trunk online.
