The River Arkansas is the project of band-leader Mike Clark (The Ghost of Michael Clark, The Haunted Windchimes, The Sugar Sounds) and named after the river he lives beside in Pueblo, Colorado. Delivering a mixture of heartfelt country, blues, folk, and Americana, Clark roots the band’s sound in his soulful, Dust Bowl-era voice and magnetic stage presence, as well as the gentle rhythm and swelling string sounds of some of the finest musicians from Longmont to Pueblo: drummer Robin Chestnut, cellist Danah Olivetree, violinist Rachel Silker, and repeat Tiny Library Concert performer Macon Terry (welcome back, Macon!) on upright bass.
History Colorado's Tiny Library Concert series is generously supported by Airshow Inc.
and features performances by local Colorado musicians in the unusual and intimate space of the museum's Stephen H. Hart Library & Research Center. Beer, wine, and cocktails available for purchase.
