Names deeply rooted in Colorado history—Long, Springer, Phillips, Phipps—shared one thing in common: the same fine castle, complete with all that was elegant and urbane. Today, this breathtaking edifice has been restored in grandeur and transformed into an event space for the modern city surrounding it. We’ll have a tour of the splendid Highlands Ranch Mansion, decorated for Christmas, and the histories are as entrancing as the building itself. We’ll follow up with a presentation about the history of Douglas County to give you a full overview of the region’s finest.
Includes guide and a box lunch. Provide your own transportation to starting point and during the tour. Maps supplied.
