LEGOrado - LEGO Drive & Collection

Wednesday, February 1, 2012 - 12:00am - Wednesday, March 14, 2012 - 12:00am

Next summer we will be the proud hosts of a LEGO display that will depict Colorado’s history through LEGO bricks.  This 2500 square foot display will be installed from May 28ththrough August 1st.  It will feature a large train track that will circle the four central columns in the gallery.  Around each column will be a series of LEGO buildings telling a Colorado story from a particular place in time including Mesa Verde, Bent’s Fort, Denver, and the future of Colorado.  In addition to the LEGO buildings created by the LEGO enthusiast group we are working with, we are hoping to have an area where visitors can create their own LEGO structures.  In order to add this interactive area we are holding a LEGO drive so that individuals can donate LEGOs that will be used in the museum for families wanting to create their own LEGO buildings.

We are looking for basic LEGO size bricks that are new or gently used.  Once the LEGO display is completed the collection of bricks will be donated to a local organization that supports children.

The LEGO drive will run from February 1stthrough March 14th.

LEGO bricks can be dropped at:

History Colorado Center, 1200 Broadway Denver, CO 80203
