Denver Diorama
The Denver diorama, a 1930s-era public works project showing central Denver in 1860, dazzled visitors at the Colorado History Museum for almost seventy-five years. Containing more than 350 buildings and measuring 11’ x 12’, this model is the biggest in History Colorado’s collection. Presented by Wells Fargo in the Dick and Eddie Robinson Family Gathering Space. Great Map of Colorado & Time Machines
This giant terrazzo map of Colorado embedded in the museum’s Anschutz Hamilton Hall floor comes to life with H.G. Wells-inspired time machines that visitors push over the map to reveal video stories. Click to watch a video on the time machines.
