Mountain gardens

Make history with your event

Unique outdoor setting

Plan Your Event at the Healy House Museum

The Heritage Gardens are the perfect spot for weddings, receptions, reunions, or a family picnic. Enjoy unobstructed views of Mt. Elbert and Mt. Massive from the gazebo. Coupled with Colorado's famous blue sky, it is the perfect backdrop for photographs.

The lush gardens have been restored with the addition of a formal Victorian garden in honor of Emma Meyer, the first lady of the house. A gazebo graces the southwest side of the lawn that follows S. B. DeBoer's 1947 landscape design. We have a selection of vintage-style games available for your enjoyment and guests are welcome to take time to play a bit of croquet, or lawn bowling. We have also developed several activities for children in the gardens.
