Experience Big Sound at History Colorado’s Tiny Library Concert Series
Wed, 11/04/2015 - 6:05pm
DENVER (November 04, 2015) — The Tiny Library Concert Series begins on November 7th at the Stephen H. Hart Library and Research Center, located at the History Colorado Center. The series will be held in the Stephen H. Hart Library and Research Center, located at the History Colorado Center. This humble space creates an intimate setting to hear incredible local artists perform acoustic renditions of their songs. Unlike other concert venues, the Stephen H. Library offers a personal atmosphere surrounded by the altogether unique elements of artifacts, books, and history.
The 2015-2016 Tiny Library Concert series will run November 2015-May 2016, with most of the concerts falling on the evening of the Third Tuesday Rendezvous each month. This month, History Colorado is pleased to welcome Slipstream on November 7th at 7pm and Patrick Dethlefs on November 17th at 7pm. Slipstream is a Colorado supergroup that plays soulful Rocky Mountain bluegrass. Patrick Dethlefs creates folk/Americana music with an effortless sincerity, reminiscent of Townes Van Zandt, that revives the stripped-down feel of a musical history long past.
Through these fantastic performances, History Colorado honors Colorado’s past by celebrating the cultural moments of the present. Music is a powerful outlet to bring the community together and support the vibrant artists that help to make Colorado great.
