The Denver, Laramie & Northwestern Railroad Company was incorporated in 1910 to build a rail line from Denver to Greeley, and from there, to Laramie, Wyoming and Boise, Idaho. Only the Denver to Greeley segment was completed. The enterprise organized a subsidiary, the Greeley Terminal Railway Company, to hold all franchises and property within the limits of the City of Greeley. Control of the Denver, Laramie and Northwestern passed to the Denver, Laramie and Northern in 1917, the year in which the track from Denver to Greeley was abandoned and dismantled.
