Newspapers

History Colorado has the largest collection of Colorado newspapers available, including the entire run of the Rocky Mountain News, April 1859 to February 2009. The collection contains over 1,700 microfilmed newspaper titles from towns across the state. More than 150 currently published newspapers are available in the Library and Research Center.
Records of all newspaper titles are included in our online catalog. The library has guides to Colorado newspapers that list papers by name, by county and town, dates of publication, and dates available. Please contact a librarian for specific information on newspaper holdings.
Microfilm reader/printer/scanners are available in the library for public use. Duplicate positive microfilm reels may also be purchased.
A selection of historic Colorado newspapers has been digitized and made available online at the Colorado Historic Newspapers Collection.
