Make History Colorado Capital Campaign

In 2008, the State of Colorado asked the Colorado Historical Society to relocate its home in Denver within 3 years to allow the Colorado Judicial Branch to expand. Legislation was passed permitting $109 million to be raised in public financing to fund construction and moving costs for a new History Colorado Center.

Though the building is fully funded, private contributions totaling $33 million are needed to fund the educational exhibits and programs that will make the new Center a hub for engagement in our state’s rich history. To make a gift to the campaign contact us at 303-866-4736 for further information.

As Coloradans, we share an opportunity to direct the future of our state. Together, we can celebrate our heritage in a fresh and compelling way as the Colorado Historical Society transforms itself into History Colorado – a new and provocative destination for learning, an engaging center for civic conversation and an environment that encourages an inspirational journey into the future. History Colorado is committed to presenting the stories of yesterday in order to better make history for tomorrow.

With your commitment, we will Make History Colorado!

Gifts to the Make History Colorado! capital campaign are held at the Colorado Historical Foundation.
