Required Schedule: 10 hours per week, two 5-hour shifts (approx. 9am to 2pm, Monday-Friday)
Broad Scope of Position:
This internship provides selected candidates the opportunity to share their passion for history with students in a museum setting.
Facilitate school programs at the History Colorado Center.
Maintain school program materials.
Work collaboratively with volunteers and staff.
Attend school program meetings and participate actively in discussions.
Desired Skills/Academic Field of Study:
Must be enthusiastic, hardworking with excellent communication skills.
Formal or informal teaching experience with children ages 5 to 13.
Desire to learn about education in a museum setting.
Spanish language is a plus.
Current Undergraduate and Graduate Students in Education, History, Anthropology, Museum Studies, Sociology, and Child Development preferred.
