One 4-hour shift per week is highly desirable. Minimum 16 hours per month. Shifts will be 9 a.m. - 1 p.m., and will be available Monday - Friday from late August through early June.
School Programs volunteers assist school groups through their entire visit to the History Colorado Center. Volunteers escort classes into the building and break them into smaller groups. Volunteers will lead small groups through gallery-based programming which involves facilitating a high quality learning experience at each History Station. Duties also include setting up for and cleaning up after school programs.
Training on exhibit content, program facilitation, general museum education, basic Colorado history, and child development theory will be provided.
