Unique gifts & merchandise
The Volunteers of History Colorado are proud to offer a collection of merchandise for sale to support our mission and activities, which include a grant program to support the programs of History Colorado.
All of these items may be purchased by calling 303-886-4241 or at the Byers-Evans House Museum.
Banner Bags
We have partnered with Mission Wear, a Denver nonprofit, to make Banner Bags—multi-totes made from repurposed History Colorado museum and local event banners. Mission Wear provides jobs for women who are having difficulty finding mainstream employment due to a history of incarceration, addiction, or domestic abuse. The banners are sewn into fashionable, durable totes—meaning no two bags are alike! Proceeds benefit History Colorado projects and educational programs statewide.

Collectibles
The original collectible commemorates the building that was located at 1300 Broadway, Denver, known as the Colorado History Museum. The structure, constructed of gray granite, stood for 33 years, from 1977 to 2010. The mural, added in 1999, featured regions and people who made contributions to the foundation of Colorado. Titled “On the Wind”, the bronze sculpture of a North American Bison, which stood in the plaza outside, was designed by T.D. Kelsey and dedicated in 2006. James J. Volker donated it “to the people of Colorado.”
The new History Colorado Center collectible is three-dimensional, solid brass with vivid colors, finished in 24 karat gold and handcrafted in the USA. Prominently displayed on the front is the bronze sculpture of a North American Bison titled “On the Wind”, which will be installed near the main entrance on the west side of the building. The reverse side displays the History Colorado logo.
The collectibles are $25 each or $40 for both
