Located in the heart of Denver, the History Colorado Center is host to Zoom In: The Centennial State in 100 Objects. Zoom In unlocks Colorado’s past through 100 of the most significant, striking and illuminating objects culled from our vast collections—like astronaut Jack Swigert’s Apollo 13 flight suit, a special-edition guitar made just for John Denver, and a rare and valuable gold ingot from the days of the Gold Rush. These powerful objects serve as portals to the past, telling the stories of people who’ve called this rectangular patch of plains, mountains and mesas home for 13,000 years.
As a CSU employee, student or alumni you can join us for an ever-changing lineup of programs, shows and exhibits. Become a member today, and you’ll enjoy a full year of free admission to the History Colorado Center and to our museums and historic sites statewide.
