Our Hands-On History day camps provide safe, engaging learning opportunities for elementary school children.
Hands-On History spring break camp offers a unique opportunity to learn about Ute culture and history. Kids will have hands-on experiences, such as constructing a tipi, crafting a split tree figurine, and making a beaded bracelet. They will learn American Indian sign language, watch films about Ute culture, and explore the newly built Naturescape Playground.
Who: Kids in grades 1-8 When: March 29-31, from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Where: Ute Indian Museum, 17253 Chipeta Rd, Montrose Cost: $85 per child (automatic tuition assistance available)
