Fort Garland Hands-On History Fridays

Hands-On History provides safe, engaging learning opportunities for children from 1st to 5th Grade. And now, during the school year Fort Garland Museum offers an Friday program to meet the needs of families in the San Luis Valley.

Hands-On History is held every Friday from February 7 though May 15, with the program beginning at 10am and lasting through 1pm. Drop off is at 9:30am.

Each month of Hands-On History has a different theme:

  • February - Mythology Month
  • March - Create Your World
  • April - What's Your Super Power?
  • May - Dino Explorers

The price of the program is $10 per child, per session. We also offer a variety of scholarships on a case-by-case basis.
