Hands On History

Trinidad Hands-On History

Hands-On History provides safe, engaging learning opportunities for children from 1st to 8th Grade. And now, during the school year Trinidad History Museum offers a Friday program to meet the needs of families of Las Animas County.

Hands-On History is held every Friday from January 10 through April 24, with the program beginning at 1pm and lasting through 4pm.

Each month of Hands-On History has a different theme:

  • January - Shaping the Planet
  • February - Where's Our Water?
  • March - Plants & Animals
  • April - People On The Move

The price of the program is $9 per child, per session. Certain scholarships are available for enrolling multiple children, for museum members, and if your family qualifies for free or reduced lunch.

If you have any questions, please contact Abigail Melton, the Education Coordinator at Trinidad History Museum, to inquire. She can be reached by phone at 719-846-7217 or via email at abigail.melton@state.co.us
