History Colorado Public Programs Internship

Internship Location: History Colorado Center, Denver, CO

Stipend: Intern will receive a stipend of $2,000. The stipend is not salary or compensation. The stipend is meant to support study and research during the tenure of the appointment and will be issued in (2) installments.  Qualified candidates may receive academic credit through their college or university.

Community Relations Internship

Internship Location: El Pueblo History Museum, Pueblo, CO 

Fellowship Grant: Volunteer Interns can earn a $1,000 fellowship grant based on completion of the fellowship requirements.  Qualified candidates may receive academic credit through their college or university. 

Apply By:  January 31, 2020 or until filled 

Desired Schedule: 10 – 20 hours/week for a total of 150 hours, TBD by intern and supervisor.

State Archaeologist’s Collection Assistance Internship

Internship Location: History Colorado Center, Denver, CO  

Stipend: This is a competitive internship position with a $750 stipend. The stipend is not salary or compensation. The stipend is meant to support study and research as well as travel costs during the tenure of the internship.  

Academic Credit:  Academic credit may be obtained with prior approval and arrangement by the student with his or her academic department and their university or college. Applicants must pursue any possible credit arrangements prior to applying for this internship and include this information in the application package as well as any supervisory requirements from staff at History Colorado in fulfillment of that academic credit. 

Other Sources:   Interns may also independently secure financial research awards from other sources in co-ordination with this program prior to applying and must include this information with the application.

Start Date:  February, 2020 

Desired Schedule:  approximately 150- 200 hours across an academic semester, beginning February 2020. Hours per week are flexible.
