Collections Outreach Assistant
The Sam Howe Collection consists of 73 oversized crime ledgers (18,000 pages from 1863-1934). Sam Howe – Denver’s first detective and one of the nation’s first crime statisticians – maintained the ledgers during his 47-year law enforcement career. The ledgers are being digitized to preserve them and make them digitally accessible. This project involves developing a program to use the Sam Howe collections materials in college and university classrooms.
