2nd Annual Chief Ouray and Chipeta Color Walk and Fun Run

Canceled

Join us as we remember Chief Ouray, his wife Chipeta, and their legacy. Our three-mile walk and fun run honoring the three Ute tribes will be backdropped by the beautiful San Juan Mountains, their ancestral home. To celebrate their legacy and add to the fun, we'll be making this our second Color Run! Don’t forget to join us afterwards for our socially distanced Popsicle Social, Raffle, and Giveaway.

Contact the Ute Indian Museum at (970) 249-3098 for Walk/Run registration and information about our SAFE AT UTE initiative.

Walk/run cost of $25 for adults and $10 for children under 18 includes walk/run T-shirt!

Proceeds go to our education department and help provide educational opportunities for children and adults across the Western Slope and beyond.

Virtual Color Run

  • For individuals and families who'd love to participate but don't feel comfortable joining us on site, we'll take registrations for virtual runners as well.
  • We'll provide a runner's kit that includes a run T-shirt, color powder, and popsicle. Your kit will also include raffle tickets so you can participate in the raffle prize draw.
  • So, whether you run on a treadmill, jog around the neighborhood, or walk around the block, the Virtual Color Run is an ideal way to participate in our event and help support the museum's ongoing education efforts.
