The History Colorado Center, in partnership with CO-Brew, is excited to offer a three-week workshop where you’ll learn the history of beer and brew your own. Enjoy a special guided tour from Sam Bock, lead developer of the History Colorado Center’s newest exhibit, Beer Here! Brewing the New West. Then, learn the ins and outs of the brewing process, and brew and package your own, one-of-a-kind 1876 Ale.
Sunday, June 9, 1 to 3 pm
Gather at the History Colorado Center to learn about the history of beer and its importance to the growth of Colorado. After a guided tour of the Beer Here! exhibit, head over to CO-Brew to learn about the ingredients and process of brewing.
Sunday, June 16, 1 to 3 pm
Gather at CO-Brew for the second week of the workshop. Here, you’ll tour the grain room, learn about historic styles, and brew your own 1876 Ale.
Sunday, June 23, 1 to 3 pm
For the final week, meet at the History Colorado Center to learn the history of beer packaging and the integral role Colorado played in that process. Then head back to CO-Brew to bottle and label two 22-ounce 1876 Ales that are yours to keep!
