From Cowboys to the Coast: Canadian Rockies by Rail
Friday, July 5, 2019 | 9:00AM — Saturday, July 13, 2019 | 5:00PM
Colorado isn’t the only place with a famous annual event celebrating the best of the Wild West. It’s time to visit our cousins to the north for the Calgary Stampede—a rootin’, tootin’, stomp-your-bootin’ good time. After Calgary, likened to the Denver of Canada, we’ll leave the straw and belt buckles behind for the essence of luxury and splendor aboard the Rocky Mountaineer and its GoldLeaf service. With Dr. Andrew Gulliford hosting us for interpretation, we’ll travel through the Canadian Rockies on our way to the Pacific, enjoying elegant hotels, sightseeing, history, the legendary Spiral Tunnels and scenery rivaled almost nowhere else on earth. This qualifies as a once-in-a-lifetime trip, so let’s cross the border to cross the Continental Divide in Canada and kick up our boots from Calgary to the coast. Includes eight nights’ lodging, bus transportation, GoldLeaf service on Rocky Mountaineer, guides, interpretation, admissions, 15 meals (including a Welcome Dinner) and two meal vouchers at the Calgary Stampede. Airfare not included.
