In the West, we think more about our water than most people do, since there’s less to be had. How do they make sure it’s there for your morning shower or to drink on a hot afternoon? We’ll be joined by one of the fine folks at Denver Water for a day of exploration around that most central element of keeping our water where we can use it: dams. On our way into the mountains, we’ll hear of Denver Water’s past efforts and those ongoing today. Then we’ll have a tour of the dam at Dillon Reservoir, to do our learning while standing on the concrete itself. With a sprinkling of dam history from the Front Range and a chance to ask your questions about all things watery, you’ll be in-the-know on that essential drink we often take for granted. Includes bus transportation and guides.
