El Día del Niño—the Day of the Child—is one of the year’s most exciting and vibrant events at the beautiful History Colorado Center, downtown Denver’s only Smithsonian Affiliate museum. Admission to the entire museum and all of its exhibits is provided free of charge throughout the day. 

The museum is in the heart of the Golden Triangle Creative District, just steps from additional free offerings at our Center for Colorado Women’s History, Clyfford Still Museum, Denver Art Museum, and Denver Public Library. 

Create a keepsake at one of our interactive stations, try your best to break our piñata, grab some delicious food in Café Rendezvous, and enjoy these performances in our iconic Anschutz Hamilton Hall:

Center for Colorado Women’s History / 1–4 pm
Visit the Center for Colorado Women’s History at the Byers-Evans House Museum for free on the afternoon of Dia Del Nino! See our new exhibit about women’s suffrage, Bold Women. Change History., and tour the historic house museum at 1:30, 2:30 and 3:30 pm. From 2 pm to 4 pm join Colorado Humanities to see live historic character performances by the students of the Young Chautauqua program.
