Embodying Equity: Practicing Anti-Oppression

Learn the basics of anti-oppression from Marissa Volpe and Regan Byrd. Get practical tools to apply the ideas and see how to look through an anti-oppression lens. Connect body and mind to equity with "Theater of the Oppressed" tools. All are welcome to this training; no previous background required. This program is meant for those interested in learning in a safe and inclusive setting. Light refreshments will be provided.

Marissa Volpe is the director for community engagement and inclusion at History Colorado. Her work focuses on creating a platform for community connection and engagement within museum space and within community. Regan Byrd is an award-winning community activist with a deep commitment to social justice, institutional systems change, and collective liberation. She serves on the board of Colorado People's Alliance.
