Memorial Day Living History

Fort Garland Museum holds its annual living-history military encampment on Memorial Day weekend. Throughout both days, the Fort Garland Memorial Regiment and the Artillery Company of New Mexico will present activities and displays depicting nineteenth-century garrison life at the fort.

All day Saturday the ladies of the garrison will gather in the Soldier’s Theatre. They invite you to join them for a cup of tea and conversation!

On Saturday night at 7:30 pm, the Regimental Ball is open to the public; attendees are invited to wear period-appropriate attire.

Sunday morning at 9:30 am is the flag-raising ceremony, followed by a non-denominational service in the Soldiers Theatre.
