Borderlands of Southern Colorado Speaker Series

The Utility & Complexity of "Hamilton: The Musical"

Join us on Zoom on Thursday, September 3 at 6 pm for our next Borderlands of Southern Colorado online lecture. In this lecture, Roberto Montoya will present "The Utility & Complexity of Hamilton: The Musical."

Join us for a discussion as we explore the brilliance of Lin Manuel Miranda’s masterpiece and its applications for understanding culture and identity. Simultaneously, we will examine the pernicious erasure of Black and Native peoples.

Our dialogue will be led by Roberto Montoya, Hip Hop Pedagogue, host of Theory Heads Podcast, West Regional Manager with the Government Alliance on Race and Equity (GARE), Scholar, and overall government nerd.

The event is donation-based and open to the public, but registration is required.
