Women's Equality Day Lawn Party

Since 1971, August 26th has been a day to celebrate the passing of the 19th Amendment with Women’s Equality Day. The importance of recognizing the right for women to vote continues to resonate in politics today and the Center for Colorado Women’s History will proudly celebrate Women’s Equality Day with a lawn party that will offer presentations and performances on Colorado women’s history, information on Colorado women’s organizations, kid-friendly yard games and crafts, and some iced tea to stay cool on the grounds of the historic home of the Byers and Evans families. Join us for this free event on Sunday, August 26th from 1 to 4 p.m. and celebrate women’s equality!
