GHM Covid Guidelines

The Grant Humphreys is super excited to welcome guests for ceremonies and services, wedding receptions, holiday parties, and other gatherings! However, our main priority is the safety and health of you and your guests, and therefore, we are following the following guidelines as mandated by the State of Colorado and the City & County of Denver for all events.  These are just a highlight of the mandates, please visit the State of Colorado's safer at home website for specifics.  As guidelines may change at any time, it is the event hosts' responsibility to stay up to date with all current mandates in order to host an event with us.

Life-rights events including wedding ceremonies, celebration of life events, church services, etc

  • Currently, indoor capacities for these type of events is 50 indoors.  We can also host wedding ceremonies in Humphreys Park up to local capacities.  Currently, at 50% capacity, using the social distancing calculator and keeping 6' of social distance at all times, or max outdoor capacity is 100.   
  • No shared food or beverages are allowed under life-rights nor is the mansion allowed to provide any.  Some exceptions apply. (see state site for specifics) 
  • Live performances are allowed but they have to be 25 feet away from all guests.  
  • All guests must be seated at least 6' from others except for those in their immediate household, and all guests must wear masks at all times. 
  • the host of the event (contracted party) is responsible for the behavior of their guests/attendees at all times including enforcing all rules
  • All event hosts must also provide a detailed list of attendees to the mansion director along with contact information to provide the state with accurate contact tracing if necessary.

Special events/weddings/private receptions over 40 guests 

  • We are currently restricted to 50 guests or 50% capacity, whichever is fewer under restaurant rules.  
  • There are no dance floors allowed nor is 'gathering/mingling allowed.  That means no standing cocktail hour (although we can do that at -table), guests must stay at their assigned tables (except to go to the bar or restroom) and all tables must be at least 6' apart.  
  • There is a limit to 8 people per table, and guests are only allowed to sit with those in their party.  
  • Masks must be worn when not eating or drinking.  
  • A caterer from the mansion's pre-approved list must be used
  • no self-service buffets or food stations are allowed.  No family-style dining is allowed    
  • Outdoor dining is strongly encouraged.  The mansion's south terrace is perfect for this!

  • All event hosts must provide a detailed list of attendees to the mansion director along with contact information to provide the state with accurate contact tracing if necessary.

Special events/weddings/private receptions for 40 guests or fewer 

  • Under safer at home indoor event guidelines, the mansion is allowed up to 40 guests based on square footage.  
  • Guests must still be assigned tables that are 6' apart and only sit with those in their household
  • Masks must be worn at all times when not eating and drinking.  
  • Shared dance floors are not permitted.
  • Socially - distanced cocktail hours are permitted and bar service is allowed.  However, bar lines will be limited depending on spaces used to accommodate 6' social distancing at all times. Guests will be required to follow all marked areas and bar limits as posted. 
  • Catering buyouts are allowed with prior approval 
  • Outdoor dining is strongly encouraged
  • no self-service buffets or food stations are allowed.  No family-style dining is allowed

The mansion is taking extra precautions including sanitizing all equipment and thoroughly cleaning all spaces before, during, and after all events.  Other precautions include but are not limited to: 

  • All bathrooms will be limited to 2 guests at a time as applicable. 
  • We will be using specific entrances and exits for all events
  • All GHM vendors and staff will be masked at all times
  • Vendor and staff temperature checks are required prior to event start time
  • enhanced ventilation in all spaces will be practiced at all times including opening all doors and windows, providing fans for extra ventilation and limiting air conditioning 
  • signage in both English and Spanish will be provided to assist guests in understanding the local city and state guidelines
