Summer Camp Kids with Masks

Hands-On History Summer Camp at the History Colorado Center

History Colorado's Hands-On History Summer Camp provides safe, engaging learning opportunities for kids ages 6-12. In 2020, the History Colorado Center will offer five weeks of all-day camp to meet the needs of Denver families.

We know that safety is one of the top considerations when choosing care for your child, and never more so than during a public health crisis. Learn how we plan to keep campers and staff safe.

Each week, campers dive into Colorado culture and history in activities like making homemade pickles, constructing their own frontier toys, hand-building clay pots using indigenous pottery techniques, and making adobe bricks. They also get to explore the History Colorado Center to learn more about each week’s theme! There will also be plenty of outside time in the beautiful Colorado sunshine!

Space is limited. Following guidance from state and local health officials, our camp cohorts will be limited to 10 campers per week.
