Russian-German immigrant David Amen and his wife Anna established the farm in 1915. The diversified irrigated farm and ranch began with raising Hereford cows, Holstein milk cows, chickens, alfalfa, corn, and sugar beets. Their son Walter remained and the farm and continued to expand the operation.  Today, four generations, including Walter, his son, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, continue working on the farm as a Registered Angus and Lim-Flex Seedstock operation.
