Located adjacent to the central business district, on an urban campus shared by the University of Colorado at Denver, Metropolitan State College of Denver, and Community College of Denver, the residences within the district are among Denver’s oldest.  During the 1970s, a grassroots preservation effort saved the block from demolition and led to the rehabilitation of the buildings for use as campus offices.
