The 226-foot long bridge features a 150-foot long steel rigid connected Parker through truss as its main span.

Black Squirrel Creek Bridge

Erected in 1935 by bridge contractors Charles B. Owen and A.S. Horner, the Colorado Department of Highways designed structure fabricated by Minneapolis-Moline Power Implement Company, remains virtually intact as a rare surviving example of a once important long span truss type.  Listed under Highway Bridges in Colorado Multiple Property Submission.
