Blackmore Farms

Washington County

In 1917, William Blackmore homesteaded north of Otis, Colorado. He and wife Bertha built a small farmhouse in which, to this day, the kitchen is the original part of the house. He raised wheat, cattle, hogs and sheep, and also trained horses.

At a young age, William passed away and his son Perry took over the farming operation where he and his wife Alice continued to add improvements and acres to the farming operation. His Daughter Deb and her husband Mike continue on with the family farm today.
