In 1923, Edward R. and Mary Christensen leased and eventually purchased a farmstead in Morgan County, originally raising sheep and sugar beets, then transitioning to corn and cattle.  Since the 1990s the ranch has marketed custom bulk natural beef to consumers and their online boxed beef business launched in 2017 as the third generation of family members has joined to expand the work of the ranch.
