Colorado School for the Deaf and the Blind

Established on this site in 1876, the school is significant for being the only school in the state dedicated solely to the education of the deaf and the blind.

Ten campus buildings, constructed between 1906 and 1952 of Castle Rock rhyolite, exhibit a high degree of craftsmanship and design reflecting an eclectic mix of architectural styles.
