By repairing masonry and plasterwork, the structure of the 1903 courthouse can continue to safeguard the museum collection housed within. After the building’s use as a governmental institution ended in 1973, the public saved the courthouse from demolition.  Aside from its use as the Pioneers Museum, the building also offers space for galleries, research, and special events. Additionally, the grounds feature lush lawns for community picnics and a magnificent view of Pike’s Peak.
