The City of Arvada, the Arvada Historical Society, and a team of historians and restoration experts are collaborating to restore the exterior and interior of the body of the historic Denver Tramway Company Streetcar No. 04 to its 1940s-1950 configuration and appearance.

The streetcar once served Arvada, Golden, and the former city of Leyden. Car No.04 is listed in the Colorado State Register of Historic Places for its role in Denver's streetcar system and as the last electric car to run before the end of service in 1950. The streetcar is currently located at a storage yard in Arvada. In 2015, Colorado Preservation, Inc. listed the streetcar on its Endangered Places List in recognition of its significance and to call attention to the urgency of acting now to preserve it while we still can.
