The first parcel of land for Fillius Park came as a donation to Denver from cattle rancher Jules J. Clark in 1918, with additional land later obtained through condemnation.
Denver architect Jules J.B. Benedict designed the pump house and the stone shelter house that contains a large stone fireplace. Listed under Denver Mountain Parks Multiple Property Submission.
