Constructed in 1936, the building is a particularly well-crafted example of Art Deco-flavored Neo-Classicism.
It is the only local example of this motif and is a symbolic legacy of the federal government’s role in aiding communities during the Depression. Listed under U.S. Post Offices in Colorado Thematic Resource.
