Gueck Farm

Phillips County

In 1914, George Gueck purchased land near Haxtun to begin his agricultural operation in Colorado. He purchased the current farm in 1923, with his son Reece operating a custom corn shelling business as well as raising cattle, hogs, dairy cows, chickens, and producing alfalfa, corn, milo, and wheat. Reece Gueck was the first farmer to drill an irrigation well in western Phillips County in 1950. Mark and Susan Gueck currently reside on and operate the farm, and their children represent the fifth generation on the Gueck Farm.
