Pinkney Murray & Kathryn Lehl acquired their first 120 acres in 1917. For 81 years the family has sold Pioneer hybrid seed to local farmers, had a small dairy, raised beef cattle, chickens, grew sugar beets, wheat and potatoes.

From 2001 to 2007 the family operated a corn maze and haunted house on the farm donating a percentage of profits each year to local charities. Brothers Glen & Lyle now farm in excess of 1,000 acres of corn, wheat and alfalfa; also selling irrigation and shortline equipment.
