Pleasant Valley School (Bellvue)

Larimer County

The 1879 Pleasant Valley School is a rare surviving example of a stone schoolhouse in Larimer County that exhibits the distinguishing characteristics of a rural one-room schoolhouse.

The building also represents the educational history of the County between the years 1879 and 1913 when students of all ages traveled from area farms and ranches to a centrally located school for their early instruction.  The property is associated with the Rural School Buildings in Colorado Multiple Property Submission.
