On July 3rd, 1874, Nathan Russell acquired 240 acres in Saguache which is now part of Russell's N Lazy R Ranch. In Saguache County this ranch has the honor of being in the same family for the longest period of time. Nathan's grandson Alexander now owns the property. Hay and cattle are raised now.
