Members Lounge

The members lounge is open weekdays (M-F) 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Members must show a valid membership card at the Admissions desk to gain entry.

Members may take in as many guests as their membership level allows.

Please do not leave items unattended in the lounge.


What's in the lounge?

  • Curator's Corner - a special exhibit just for members! (see below for more)
  • Books and back issues of Colorado Heritage
  • Coffee and tea
  • Family bathroom
  • Toys, coloring sheets, and crayons



Members may bring children up to the lounge. Children under 15 years old cannot be left in the lounge unattended.

Baby changing facilities are available in the restrooms on the 4th floor.

Nursing room is available on the 3rd floor by the Office of Archaeology and Historic Preservation entrance (if you’re not sure where it’s located please ask a staff member at the Admissions desk).



The room is wheelchair accessible from the elevator. Accessible restroom is located right next to the lounge.


Curator's Corner: Daniel Chittenden's powder horn

View the cow horn gunpowder flask carried by Daniel Chittenden, whose Connecticut militia company fortified troops garrisoned at Fort William Henry during the French and Indian War in 1757.  Chittenden survived the war, and his son carried the horn during the Revolutionary War and again in the War of 1812.
