In his free time, he is usually playing boardgames, falling down Wikipedia rabbit holes, or teaching for the Naval War College.

Photo of a man, squatting down next to a collections drawer in a storage room with white shelves. His hands are resting on the drawer front edges, and he is looking at the cameral. The artifacts in the drawer are tagged and wrapped for storage. The largest artifact in the drawer is a blue sign shaped like a mountain with a white snow capped peak, which says, "Mountain Training Group." The man in the photo wears a blue button-collar shirt and blue jeans, with an ID badge on a lanyard around his neck.
