Julie Peterson

Public Historian & Exhibit Developer

Julie is an exhibit developer and public historian at the History Colorado Center. Most recently, she was the lead developer for What's Your Story? which opened in 2019. Since coming to History Colorado in 2017, she has also served as lead developer for Forty Years on the ‘Fax: Colfax Avenue 1926-1966 and Zoom In: The Centennial State in 100 Objects. She is currently working on the upcoming Building Denver initiative about placemaking, architecture, and design. Originally from Loveland, Colorado, Julie holds a master’s in public history from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
