History Colorado Center Offers Free Admission to Federal Employees

DENVER— The History Colorado Center will offer free admission to all furloughed employees of the federal government beginning Thursday, October 3, through Sunday, October 13, 2013.

During the partial government shutdown that has resulted in the furlough of hundreds of thousands of federal employees, History Colorado is pleased to extend this offer to thank federal employees for their work.

In order to receive free admission, federal employees will be asked to show their federal ID at the admissions desk. Family members of federal employees are invited to purchase tickets at regular price.

At the History Colorado Center, family friendly, hands-on exhibits connect you to what was with what’s next. Check out the museum’s innovative “Time Machines” on the Great Map of ColoradoDestination Colorado, where you can explore life in a farming community circa 1920; discover the heart, art and whimsy of Colorado’s capital city in Denver A to Z; or soar off a virtual ski jump, explode dynamite in a historic mine, trade goods at a historic fort and more in Colorado Stories.
