Mile High Magic Revealed at the History Colorado Center

DENVER –

Clue: When our team scored, you could feel the thunder in these.

What: Once home to the Denver Bears, a minor league baseball team, Bear Stadium boasted seating for approximately 18,000. Originally built in 1948 as a baseball specific venue, the stadium was transformed as pro-football became more popular. The stadium was dubbed Mile High Stadium in 1968, but was home to the Denver Broncos from 1960 to 2000. Mile High Stadium continued to host a variety of sporting teams including the Colorado Rapids, and events including the Colorado Rockies’ opening season in 1993. Mile High Stadium was demolished in 2002 and replaced by today’s Sports Authority Field at Mile High. History Colorado acquired the seats in 2001 from Sky Box 234. These items will be on display just in time for Bronco fans to feel the Mile High spirit for Monday Night Football matchup between the Broncos and the Bengals.
