DENVER – The State Historical Fund (SHF), a program of History Colorado, has awarded 34 competitive grants for historic preservation totaling over $6 million for the fiscal year 2013 grant round. These new grants join 215 already active grant projects, for a total of nearly $25 million in direct investment in the State of Colorado.
DENVER – CINEMA, the Denver Film Society and History Colorado have partnered to host a student film competition for students in grade six through graduate school designed to foster appreciation and interest in creating films in Colorado’s historic places. The student film competition was officially launched at the CINEMA Day celebration that took place on Feb. 8 at the History Colorado Center in Denver.
DENVER — History Colorado is working in collaboration with such organizations as Regis University, the Smithsonian National Museum of American History, Colorado Humanities’ Hispanic Heritage Live, and the City of Denver’s “One Book, One Denver” program to provide programming that highlights Colorado’s rich Hispanic heritage for Hispanic Heritage Month, September 15 – October 15, 2012.
